The Pensions Regulator (TPR) is a data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We process personal data held by us for the purpose of exercising any of our statutory functions and objectives. We may also process personal data under other legislation such as the Fraud Act. This includes, for the avoidance of doubt, taking regulatory or enforcement action for breaching any of this legislation.
When you pledge or self-certify that you have met the Pledge principles, you will be asked to provide information which includes your name, your email address and your role (where linked to the pensions industry). This information will allow us to deliver this service. Emails you’ll receive will give you the option to unsubscribe from pledge communications. Where you do so, we will remove you from our mailing list, so you will no longer receive emails from TPR about the Pledge. Where you provide personal data of another individual, we ask that you ensure you have the necessary consent or authority to do so.
If you have any questions about how we handle your personal data, please contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO) by email at dpa@tpr.gov.uk or you can write to us at The Pensions Regulator, Telecom House, 125-135 Preston Road, Brighton, BN1 6AF.
Further information on how your personal data is used, kept secure and your rights can be found by reading our privacy notice.
